Photographs

Another valuable part of the Archive is that of photographs and negatives, especially from the earlier excavations of the Society, which preserve the form of monuments and sites, most of which underwent a great change, mostly destructive. The old, black-and-white photographs of the Society bear the marks of time, yet for the most part they are characterized by great quality and great definition. A large number of sites and finds from the Society’s excavations is documented via color slides.
