The archive of the drawings is of particular value, as it preserves most of the sketches illustrating the Society’s publications as well as unpublished material, such as copies of the Pagassae stelai; watercolors representing the Acropolis sculptures by the painter Émile Gilliéron; as well as the archive of Anastasios Orlandos’ drawings. Besides drawings of portable finds, the Archive also preserves topographic plans of archaeological sites, sections as well as horizontal and vertical illustrations of stratigraphy.
